Pregnancy Pilates classes with Helen are for any
pregnant lady, at any level of fitness, at any stage of
pregnancy. Most women start at around 12 weeks, but I welcome
ladies if they want to join us sooner. Likewise, I welcome
ladies even at 40 weeks as you can learn such a lot in just one
session, but ideally I would see you
before that!
Pregnancy is a very special time, and most “Mums to be” want to do all that they can to ensure that they are fit to deliver. Pregnancy Pilates, or Antenatal Pilates is a great way to ensure that you stay in tune with your body as it changes shape, and to prepare yourself both mentally and physically for giving birth.
During the sessions we run through the very basics of pilates and progress onto more strenuous exercises appropriate to the needs and the anatomy of a pregnant woman.
Whilst pregnant, a pilates class just for pregnant ladies is ideal as you don’t spend half of your exercise class waiting to be given suitable alternatives to the rest of the group, or being given “easy” alternatives, or worse being left to make your own judgements. The whole class is designed for your specific needs as an expectant mum, and it certainly isn’t just the easy versions!

All mums-to be are encouraged to chat during the sessions, and to meet up and support one another away from the sessions.
You are most welcome to see my qualifications, my insurance certificate, my first aid certificates (adults and children) should you wish. Please just ask.

last around 1 hour.

I supply all the mats ,and equipment that you need in the session.
You need to wear comfy clothes (socks or bare feet), bring a bottle of water and your £8.00.
All classes are £8.00 a session pay as you go, so there is no need to book, no need to commit to long courses and no need to cancel when you can’t make it.
Therefore the classes vary in size, since you don’t need to book. This means you can choose which class to attend on a weekly basis, according to your other commitments and how you feel :o)
